Are school trips worth the money?

“Are school trips worth the money or are they a complete waste of it?” Absolutely, because the experiences you gain with this trips are unforgettable.

Every school year at Gimnazija Jesenice there are different options for us to pick an optional excursion as a part of extracurricular activities, for instance, Viena or Istanbul. Some can be rather pricey, but I know that we usually get even more than we expected.

With so much to see in such a short amount of time and be able to spend it with your schoolmates, it is a no brainer. In most cases, we are provided with a competent tour guide who knows his way around. For instance, through crowded streets or buildings is a blessing to have him by your side.

Furthermore, we get a lot of free time which we, for instance, spend it to buy something nice or even indulge ourselves something delicious in the nearest restaurant. But the most enjoyable part of the school trips is that all teachers are significantly less strict with their rules; however, we still need to follow some of them, for instance, staying together and manageable.

So, if you have itchy feet, start saving up for next year’s trip. Find a summer job, help your neighbour…. You will not regret it. Our trips are worth the money.
