REPORT ON HOW CORONAVIRUS AFFECTED LIFE AT GIMJES

INTRODUCTION

As a student who takes part in ITS B, I was asked to write a report on how the corona virus affected life at my school. This report was written for my ITS/english teacher. It is intended to show how our school life has changed since the corona virus outbreak. It includes distance learning, advantages and disadvantages of distance learning and recommendations.

DISTANCE LEARNING

After spending a week at home, we started receiving learning material and tasks from the professors. Sending takes place via computers to e-mail addresses, e-Asistent and via »online classroom« (spletna učilnica). Teachers send us tasks and material every monday and we usually finish it and send it back untill the end of the week.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

The advantage of distance learning is that we can decide when we would like to learn and we schedule our own time as we like. Working from home is also good, because we are not feeling that stressed. Needless to say, it is harder and we have to figure out and learn some things by ourselves.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It would be easier for us, if all the professors would send us material via the same app, for example e-mail. Therefore, we get lost in all the messages. It would also be good if we could have some of the lectures over »zoom«, because it would make it easier for us to understand.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the virus completely changed our learning system, I just can not decide if I like it or not. I do have to admit I miss classrooms.
