A REPORT ON THE TRIP TO ISTANBUL

INTRODUCTION

I am student of Gimnazija Jesenice and in this report I will present you our school trip to Istanbul.

The purpose of this report is to inform people about the Istanbul. It includes the organization, attractions , food and highlights and my personal opinions on the trip.

ORGANIZATION

On 11 October 2019, 35 students and 5 teachers from Gimnazija Jesenice went for/on a trip to Istanbul with an aim to visit the city and to learn more about its history and culture.The students were instructed to meet behind café “Theatre” and then with the bus arrived to airport “Franjo Tudman” in Zagreb. The airplane landed in Istanbul at 01:00 PM . After all day of exploring Istanbul the students settled into their motel where they spent three nights and had breakfast every morning and every night the opportunity to enjoy teas and nargilas like the locals. On 14 October 2019 was the last day of the trip,after  finishing the tour,the students droves to airport and flew back to Sloveni at about 08:00PM.

ATTRACTION

The journey itself was guided by two executive and experienced guides who showed us istanbul its attractions as well as: Hagia Sophia Museum,The Blue Mosque , Topkapi Palace Museum,Grand Bazar, Bosporus, Basilica Cistern, Dolmabahçe Palace, Galata Tower, Taksim Square, Sultanahmet Square and taught the students much about them.

FOOD

There is a lot of Turkish traditional food that you can try. Turkish food  is very famous for its food as salty as sweet,such as : Kahvaltı or Turkish breakfast, Borek, Gozleme, Iskender Kebab, Mantı,

Meze, Doner Kebab  , Ayran, Sutlac, Baklava. Everything especially the food in Turkey is at very reasonable prices.

PERSONAL OPINION

I personally think that the trip was quite good,we had so much good time and learned a lot of new things about the Turkey,Turks and about their culture and way of living which is quite different.
